Nemo was found hopping along at 7-8 weeks old on one of our local county roads. Since nobody came for him we assume that he was dumped because of his deformed leg.
This boy is one happy camper and his deformed leg does not slow him down a bit. We consulted with an orthopedic specialist and were told that there could not much be done except of amputation which is out of the question since he is using the leg to balance himself. So what do we know about this young man: > Nemo absolutely loves people > Nemo loves children but can be a wild child. The adopter needs to be able to keep his enthusiasm under control. > Nemo is super playful and will need outlets to keep his mind occupied > Nemo is a typical puppy and super smart. Training him has been a breeze > Nemo is doing great with dogs and does well with cats or other animals. Always curious to meet someone new. > Nemo is potty and crate trained > Nemo is walking nicely on a leash > Nemo is a great passenger in the car. > And yes, Nemo does calm down and loves to take a nap, in fact he loves to snuggle! Nemo is a very active little guy and stairs are no problem for him. He does like to chew on things when he is getting bored Nemo LOVES the water so if you love the beach or lake, here is your partner in crime. Nemo is an amazing candidate to go through training and become a therapy dog We are looking for an active family for Nemo. He is very smart and energetic and loves to learn. If you are interested in learning more about Nemo please contact his foster mom directly at silvia.bprs@gmail.com Update: Nemo has seen a technician at BionicPets and has received his prosthetic. If you are interested in adopting our little man you need to be able, occasionaly, to provide transport to and from BionicPets as the prosthetic will most likely need to be adjusted 1 more time. All expenses have already been paid for by our rescue. More about Nemo (special needs)Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Videos of Nemo (special needs):
