Hi! My name is Ali. I am a Pibble mix who hails from a little shelter in North Carolina where my mama, me and my siblings were rescued. I was born on June 22d, 2020. So, I’m about 3 months old now. You can see pictures of me and my current roommates here on my webpage. We are really good friends and they have taught me a lot of good things and prolly some not so good things! I’m a slow and steady kinda guy. My favorite pastime is to just sit in the front yard and watch the world go by. Don’t get me wrong, I can be a wild man when it’s called for…it just doesn’t last too long. My other favorite thing to do is just roll around in the neighbor’s yard. They have the softest grass in the neighborhood. If you have that kinda grass, we can be great friends! We also have cats here so, I am learning to be a ‘respectful.’ I am curious but they spit and hiss and have pointy things so, they get no argument from me! I am a quick learner that way. AND…I will do almost anything for treats! I love to go for leash walks and play in the grass. We do lots of training and get rewarded with treats. So I’m getting pretty good at listening as long as it’s on my terms. Some of my repertoire includes, Bed Time, Sit, Shake, Touch, Leave It, Drop, Find It, Stay and Down. I have been working on other stuff but these are my specialties right now. I will do all of it but, you better be bringing the treats or I just don’t have time for dat! I sleep in my own room at night and understand that it is “My Room.” So when they tell me “Ali, go to your room or bed time” I’m there! I love to meet new people, big and small…especially small. I’m all about the little kids. I am super excited and to meet new people. I love going to Home Depot and seeing all the people so, I will just sit and watch! If they don’t pay attention to me, then I just move on to the next one. Now for the ‘dark side’ of puppyhood…I am still working on my potty training skills. Mom says ‘let’s go to the mailbox’ and I know exactly what that means. I can almost pee and poop on command. It makes her happy so, it makes me happy, too! First thing in the morning and last thing before bedtime, I always go potty outside, unless it’s raining. Not a big fan of the raining. And sometimes during the day, a puppy gets sidetracked by playtime with friends, kitty wrangling, naptime, stuff going on outside and all those other things puppies get distracted with. But we go outside as soon as my eyes open and every couple hours during the day so, I am making great progress in the potty training department. Mom says I’m a “solid 8 on a 10 point scale” so things are looking good for potty training. Some things just take time! I’m looking for a leisurely lifestyle…not too much activity. Ike I said, my favorite thing to do is watch the world go by…and HGTV, that’s da bomb! I can get up for a little hiking and exploring…especially if the exploring involves an open treat container at the pet store or stuff laying around the floor at Lowes! You know…guy things!
