Meet Archie. This sweet boy came to us from a local shelter as a stray. He was timid, but that has definitely changed in foster care! With love and training, he's become an outgoing puppy who is playful and loves to cuddle. Archie is crate trained and almost fully housetrained (he just needs continuing supervision to get to 100% reliability when no one is around). He likes to run and wrestle with other dogs and attends doggy daycare. Archie would do well with another active dog in the home but will need to fed separately, since he likely had to compete for food when he was stray and hasn't yet learned to share his food and toys. (We're working on it with hand-feeding and additional training.) He lives in a home with cats and tries to play with them like they're dogs, so any cats in the home would need to be confident and tolerant of a playful goofball! Archie came to us with no manners, but he's been a lightning-fast learner and now knows basic commands such as "sit," "down" and "paw." Archie has stunning eyes and a beautiful steel-gray "blue" coat. He's going to be an incredibly handsome adult dog. Archie is very friendly and loves kids, but because he is still working on politeness with food and toys, we recommend a home with kids 10-plus (so they can understand and particpate in his ongoing training.)
