Bobbie's Pit Bull Rescue & Sanctuary

Hi my name is Lady Edith…or Edie as Foster Family calls me. I am one of the Downton
Abbey litter siblings. Foster Mama says I am the sweetest girl. I love being the center of
attention. I have spurts of high energy and wreak havoc with my siblings. We love to
argue, rough and tumble and nap together…one big Happy! I adore my foster brother
and sisters. Maybe that’s not totally reciprocated but I do listen and comply with their
corrections. Foster Mama says I am a ‘submissive.” I call it just trying not to lose my
head and remain loved at the same time!
I love food. I run to my room and sit patiently when I hear “Dinner time” or “in your
room!” because I know that means it is time to eat!!!! Some other things I’ve been
learning are Sit, Focus, Find It, Leave it, Shake, Touch, Walking and Stay. All with many
levels of success, especially when treats are involved. I am great walking on leash, love
to meet new people and love to run, run, run!!! I am easily distracted by things blowing
by. I am pretty good about going potty outside. Matter of fact, I will potty on command.
Foster Mama says “MailBox!” and that means time to take care of business. I will
usually pee immediately and when she says “Edie Go Poop!” I’m there…may take a
minute to find the right spot though.
I love couch time in front of the tv. I sit and watch for a few minutes but I would rather
curl up with one of my foster siblings or brothers and take a nice warm Pibble Pile nap.
I probably sleep a good 18 hours out of 24. It takes a lot of beauty rest to stay this
gorgeous. After tv time, it’s one last potty break for pees n poops and then bedtime. I go
into my crate and sleep through the night with no accidents. I will wait as patiently as
possible for my turn to go out in the morning but you better make it quick!
Snuggles are mandatory first thing every morning…yes, even before food. You will
always know because my ears lay back on my neck and my eyes are pleading for
attention. You know what they say about Puppy Eyes…mine can stare a whole into your
soul.
I respond very well to my name and to the TOUCH command. I love playing with my
brothers and foster siblings. I am very attached to my ‘big foster brother and sisters.’ So
I would do equally well with a sibling or on my own because I do like ALL the attention
you can give me! We have a cat here but I’ve only met her once. I love my toys and will
play and keep myself occupied, if my siblings let me!
Foster Mama wants you to know that all of this is true. I love to run so, an active family
or runner would be an ideal fit for me. Being a small puppy though, we need to keep
strenuous activity to a minimum until my bones set!
