Pippi is one of a litter of puppies whose mom was a 110 lb Boerboel (South African mastiff) and dad was a 90 pound Pit Bull. Pippi is being raised in a foster home with children, other dogs and cats. She is very smart and already knows some basic obedience commands.
Pippi seriously injured her left eye before she came to us and we took her in for surgery to try to save it. If it's not saveable (we should know in a few weeks), it will be removed when she's spayed. This shouldn't be a big problem for Pippi, and one-eyed dogs get along just fine in the world!

We are taking applications on Pippi now and you can meet her at our adoption events, but she won't be available to go to her new home until she is spayed, microchipped and totally up to date on vaccines, which will be around October 1.

We adopt only to homes in Virginia, Washington D.C. and Maryland.
